The following information applies to garbage enclosures.
Owners who wish to make alterations must file an Architectural Variance Request.

Walls
- Height
Replace as is to match height of existing connecting fence; generally about 5 feet 6 inches.
If the enclosure is free-standing, approximately 62 to 65 inches.
- Width
outside: 5 feet 8 inches
inside: 5 feet 4 inches
- Depth
2 feet beyond any existing structures; generally 3 feet 8 inches
- Ground
Use existing concrete when possible and supplement as needed with stone pavers
or use stone pavers to form new ground cover

Gate
- Set all posts in concrete; generally 3 per enclosure
- 4"x6" post for hanging gate
- 4"x4" post for others
- Gate is 3 feet wide
- Replace all hinges using 3 smaller inside mounting hinges
- Connect gate structure to adjacent building at stud locations using spacers such as 1/2" neoprene washers between the building and the enclosure
- Use 2"x4" boards against the building
- Use cable ties on gates with shingles; not needed with siding

Paint

Paint enclosures to match unit building.

Double enclosures
- Extend to allow for double the above length
- Shorten the depth to conform to above
- Maintain a divider wall between each unit's enclosure

Costs
All costs associated with the revision are the responsibility of the owner unless the structure
is in need of complete replacement.
