Alameda Fourth of July Parade

These pictures were submitted by former resident Pitt O'Maley. Pitt marches in the Alameda Fourth of July parade as lead/escort in Marine (1943 circa) cammies with M-1 with grenades.

• Pitt was a Boy Scout, Navy League Sea Cadet, Marine-trained as NRA rifle marksman; Marine-drilled as Sea Cadet at NAS Alameda, with USS Hancock as its mascot ship.
• Pitt traveled from San Diego to San Francisco aboard the USS Midway in 1963 before her conversion.
• Pitt is a lifetime member of the NAS Alameda Air Museum group.
