Attend to your loved ones.

Dress for safety (study shoes, gloves, hard hat).

Check the natural gas or propane at your unit.

Shut off water at the unit main.

Place HELP or OK sign on garage door.

Put your fire extinguisher on the sidewalk.

Hopefully, CERT members will be present to head up Incident Command. If not, form teams at the gathering site.

Team 1: Radio and Logistics Listen to the emergency system and walkie-talkies. See specific duties.

Team 2: Search and Rescue Check on neighbors door to door. See specific duties.

Team 3: Utility Ensure that all gas meters are off (20 automatic, 2 manual, see map) and bring out supplies (e.g., wagon, hydraulic jack, fire hoses) from earthquake shed. See specific duties.

After completing the work, return to the gathering site for your neighborhood of Crown Harbor.

After the first 60 minutes, which are very critical, we can then all gather as one big group in the green belt area in the middle of Crown Drive to coordinate association-wide activities and resources.
